Key Duties and Responsibilities • Consult with clients and provide advice on hair care, grooming, hairstyles, and suitable hair products. • Shampoo, condition, and treat hair and scalp to maintain healthy hair. • Perform hair colouring, bleaching, straightening, perming, and other chemical treatments. • Cut, trim, and shape hair using scissors, clippers, razors, and other professional tools. • Style hair according to client preferences, including braiding, hair extensions, and contemporary styling techniques. • Shave, trim, and groom beards and moustaches to achieve desired looks. • Clean and sanitise workstations, equipment, and tools in accordance with health and safety standards. • Manage client bookings, appointments, and process payments when required. • Maintain a high standard of customer service and contribute to a positive salon environment. • Clean, colour, cut, and style wigs or hairpieces when required. Skills and Experience • Relevant Hairdressing or Barbering qualification, or at least 2 years of relevant industry experience. • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3). • Strong knowledge of hair cutting, colouring, styling, and grooming techniques. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment. • Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards. • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Pay: $52,880.00 – $90,992.60 per year
