About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Advisor, Change to act as the agency lead for change management, working at the centre of major agency initiatives. This is a critical role responsible for driving consistent, high quality change practices that support successful business outcomes.
This is an end to end change role where you will design, deliver and embed change initiatives across SafeWork NSW.
As the central point of contact for all change activities, this role will lead and coordinate change across a range of initiatives including IT deployments, restructures and reform programs.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead the design and delivery of change strategies, plans and frameworks aligned to SafeWork priorities
- Act as the agency wide subject matter expert (SME) for change management, providing trusted advice and guidance
- Develop and maintain change frameworks, templates and tools to enable consistent and scalable change practices
- Provide expert advice on change impacts, readiness, communications, training and deployment
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of change initiatives using structured methodologies
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to drive engagement, manage expectations and support adoption
- Identify and manage risks, issues and resistance to minimise disruption and support successful outcomes
- Monitor and report on change progress, insights and outcomes to inform decision making and continuous improvement

About You:
We are looking for a highly experienced change professional with deep subject matter expertise and a strong track record of delivering change in complex environments.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proven end to end experience in dedicated change management roles
- Strong experience supporting large scale initiatives such as technology implementations, restructures or organisational reform
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, practical messaging
- Strong judgement and the ability to identify risks, manage resistance and drive adoption
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work in a dynamic and evolving environment
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in change management and/or relevant industry experience.
