What we're looking for:
- Cert III in Communications (essential)
- Mine site experience and strong understanding of operational environments
- HRWL / EWP
- Open Cable Licence
- ELV qualification or equivalent
- QLD CBM & Standard 11 (preferred)
- Experience with P25, Tetra, DMR
- RF/EME awareness
- Strong capability in maintaining and troubleshooting fleet management systems, radio networks, and fibre optics
- Sharp analytical skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitor and maintain telecommunications and OT network infrastructure across mine sites.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across RF, fibre-optic, Ethernet, and IP-based communication systems.
- Install, configure, test, and commission telecommunications equipment, including radios, LTE devices, network switches, wireless access points, and antenna systems.
- Support and maintain wireless mesh networks, microwave links, mobile data terminals, and other critical communication technologies.
- Analyse alarms and system performance data to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Work with routing, switching, radio, telematics, and operational technology systems within mining environments.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and testing to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Review technical drawings and documentation to support the delivery of telecommunications projects.
- Maintain accurate records, including commissioning reports, network configurations, and equipment inventories.
- Provide technical support and advice to site personnel, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding equipment repairs, upgrades, and technical support requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve network performance, reliability, and the integration of telecommunications systems across site.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
