The Role:
Join QGAir's dedicated rotary wing team and play a vital role in delivering life-saving missions across Queensland. In this position, you will provide leadership to Aircrew and Rescue Crew Officers, managing day-to-day operations including rostering, leave and ensuring accurate records of flight time, duty hours and crew availability. You'll also support the Chief Aircrew Officer by overseeing crew training, currency and recency requirements. Alongside your leadership duties, you will undertake rostered Aircrew tasks, contribute to high standards of safety and compliance, and ensure our aircraft are always presented to the highest operational standard.

What we're looking for:
Mandatory requirements:
Possession of C Class Drivers Licence.
Qualified Helicopter Aircrew Officer with at least 1500 hours logged Aircrew Officer rotary wing hours.
Previously held a Bronze Medallion Surf Life Saving qualification or Certificate II in Public Safety/Aquatic Rescue.
Current Senior First Aid
Advanced Resuscitation/CPR Certificate
Winch and Rappel Competency Certificate
CASA Aviation Class 2 Medical Certificate
Certificate IV Aviation - Aircrew Officer
CASA approval as a Rotary Wing Night Vision Goggle Aircrew Member Instructor within six months of appointment.
CASA approval as an Aircrew Training Officer within six months of appointment.
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment within six months of appointment.
Applicants must pass the Aircrew Officer Physical Fitness test comprising of one of the following options:
400m swim in under 10 minutes; or
Completion of the Rockport Fitness Walk Test (1.6km walk) with the minimum standard being a 'Good' assessment on the Rockport calculator (www.exrx.net/Calculators/Rockport.html); or
Completion of a 2.4km run with the minimum standard being a 'Good' assessment on the ExRx.net Distance Run calculator (www.exrx.net/calculators/oneand.html)
