Medical Receptionist – Upper Beaconsfield GP Practice

We are seeking a friendly, organised and proactive Medical Receptionist to join our team in a casual or part time capacity.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a warm, efficient and welcoming environment.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Experience working in a medical practice reception role
- Confidence with patient billing, Medicare and DVA claims
- Strong computer skills (experience with Best Practice is highly regarded)
- Excellent time management and multitasking ability
- A calm, professional phone manner
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to assist with leave coverage when required
Most importantly, you are reliable, well-presented, and take pride in delivering outstanding patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming calls and appointment bookings
- Processing billings and receipting (private billing, Medicare, DVA)
- Scanning, correspondence and general administrative tasks
- Supporting doctors, nurses and allied health with administrative needs
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records

Pay: $29.00 – $35.00 per hour
