With over 50 years of experience, we manufacture high-quality, Australian-made products for the construction and retail industries. We are currently seeking a motivated, hands-on Leading Hand to join our production team and help drive our operations forward. The Role As a Leading Hand, you will oversee our daily filling and packaging operations to ensure maximum efficiency. You will balance supervisory duties with physical, on-the-ground tasks to maintain a safe and productive environment. Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Guide and support filling teams to meet daily production targets.
- Workflow Optimization: Maintain a smooth, continuous flow of materials and finished goods.
- Plant Maintenance: Perform basic machinery troubleshooting and routine preventative maintenance.
- Logistics Support: Complete store runs and coordinate raw materials for production lines.
- Quality Control: Apply strict attention to detail to ensure products meet high standards.
- Safety Leadership: Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and enforce OHS policies.
What We Are Looking For
- Physically Fit: Ability to handle repetitive lifting and physical manual tasks comfortably.
- Detail-Oriented: Focused on product quality, correct measurements, and accurate paperwork.
- Problem Solver: Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on production machinery.
- Strong Communicator: Ability to lead a small team effectively and keep morale high.
- Licences: A current Manual Driver’s Licence and LF Forklift Licence are highly desirable.
