Help Older Australians Live Every Day with Purpose, Connection and Joy
At BaptistCare, we believe that aged care is about so much more than care—it’s about helping people continue to live meaningful, enriching lives filled with choice, connection and purpose.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Regional Leisure & Lifestyle Partner to support our Residential Aged Care homes across a portfolio of NSW homes. This is an exciting opportunity for a lifestyle professional who wants to influence resident wellbeing on a broader scale while mentoring teams and driving innovation across multiple communities.
Why This Role Matters
Every resident has a unique story, interests and aspirations. In this role, you'll work closely with our homes to ensure leisure and lifestyle programs are genuinely resident-led, creating opportunities that reduce loneliness, build social connection and enhance quality of life. You’ll help shape experiences that matter—whether that’s supporting residents to pursue lifelong passions, build new friendships, connect with their community, or simply enjoy meaningful moments every day.
What You'll Be Doing
As a trusted partner to our Residential Aged Care teams, you will:
- Support homes to deliver engaging, evidence-informed leisure and lifestyle programs that reflect resident interests and preferences.
- Coach, mentor and develop Lifestyle Coordinators and local teams to build capability and consistency.
- Champion resident voice, choice and participation in the design and evaluation of activities and initiatives.
- Drive projects focused on wellbeing, social connection and reducing loneliness.
- Support homes to meet and exceed the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Collaborate with operational leaders, volunteers and support teams to enhance resident experiences across multiple locations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives informed by resident feedback and lived experience.
About You
You are someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with older people and supporting others to create exceptional resident experiences. You will bring:
- Qualifications in Diversional Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure & Health or a related Health Science discipline.
- Extensive experience as a Diversional Therapist, Lifestyle Coordinator or similar leadership role within aged care.
- Strong coaching, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading change, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of aged care standards, accreditation and best practice leisure and lifestyle programs.
- A current driver's licence and the ability to travel regularly.
- A genuine alignment to BaptistCare’s purpose, vision and values.
Love Variety? This Role Includes Travel
This is not a desk-bound role.
You'll travel across the state supporting multiple residential communities, spending time on-site with teams, residents and leaders. Occasional overnight stays and interstate travel may be required, giving you the opportunity to build relationships and make a meaningful impact across a broad network of homes.
Why Join BaptistCare?
At BaptistCare, people are at the heart of everything we do. You'll join an organisation committed to dignity, choice and person-centred care, where your expertise will directly influence the lives of residents and the teams that support them every day.
If you're ready to take your lifestyle leadership career to the next level and help create communities where older Australians can thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
