Overview
Night shift role: midnight – ~8:00 AM. Paid 6–8 week training (casual, ~20–30 hrs/week) with on‑site assessment, then transition to permanent part‑time and hours will increase to match competency. This is a safety‑critical, technical pool service role servicing commercial pools, gym hot & cold recovery pools, shopping centre water features, kids’ wading pools and waterparks. Excellent spoken English and strong attention to detail are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Net, vacuum and scrub pools; hose down and clean water features and waterpark areas.
- Follow detailed instruction sheets and safety procedures exactly.
- Perform basic equipment checks and report faults promptly.
- Maintain accurate job records and communicate clearly with supervisors and clients.
- Work independently once assessed competent; attend briefings during training.
Qualifications and requirements
- Very good spoken English and strong comprehension; clear verbal communication required.
- Current Australian car licence (essential). Use of your own car required during the 6–8 week training period; fuel card supplied.
- Reliable, punctual, focused and safety‑minded.
- Above‑average practical skills and ability to think on your feet while following procedures.
- Physically fit for manual outdoor work and comfortable with overnight/early morning shifts.
- Willingness to learn and progress to a Commercial Pool Technician.
- Not suitable for applicants whose experience is limited to general janitorial tasks (mopping, toilets, basic cleaning).
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
