We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Manage to join our Business Development & Marketing team in Melbourne.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and implementing strategic initiatives. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with strong networking and communication skills to expand Russell Kennedy’s presence in the Melbourne market, the sector areas and services lines this role is responsible for.

Strategic Business Development Planning
- Develop and implement business development strategies in alignment with company goals, to drive revenue and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and assess market trends.
- Create and execute plans to penetrate new markets or expand existing ones.
- Implement and coordinate the marketing initiatives supporting the business development strategy.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Identify opportunities for the legal teams to establish connections with potential clients to generate business leads.
- Develop and implement strategies to assist the partners to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, referrers, and key stakeholders.
- Through client listening ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with organisational goals.
Collaboration and Team Leadership
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, to develop integrated approaches to business growth.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members and colleagues on business development initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of client solutions.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and analyse the performance of business development initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports for management on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed.
