Full-Time Barista
Candy Cafe Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Barista to join our busy café team in Cairns, Queensland.
Salary
$60,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation (depending on skills and experience).
About the Role
As a Full-Time Barista, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality coffee and excellent customer service in a fast-paced café environment. You will work closely with the team to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving a variety of espresso-based coffee beverages to a high standard.
- Selecting coffee beans, adjusting grinder settings, and monitoring coffee quality.
- Operating, cleaning, and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment.
- Taking customer orders, processing payments, and operating the POS system.
- Promoting café products and assisting with the sale of beverages and light snacks.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the coffee preparation and service areas.
- Restocking supplies and supporting efficient daily café operations.
- Providing friendly and professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Barista in a café or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso extraction.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
