Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Installation of soil, plants and mulch
- Installation of metal edging, stepping stones and feature stones
- Installation of irrigation systems
- Installation of paving and retaining walls
- Reads landscape design prints to determine materials, dimensions and implements the landscape construction plan.
- Understands elevations and uses this knowledge to execute the construction plan.
- Operates, proficiently, a variety of mechanical equipment, including bobcats, excavators, plate compactors, stone grinders, drills, gas and electric chop saws, demolition hammers, and jackhammers.
- Operates automatic and manual vehicles, such as ute and truck and trailer combinations.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including worksite and equipment.
- Maintains assigned equipment and notifies mechanics of needed repairs.
Requirements
- The successful individual will have a working knowledge of standard construction practices and a basic understanding of electricity, piping, and plumbing.
- 3-5 years of landscape installation experience.
- Able to work well with others.
- Read & execute blueprints.
- Experience in paving and retaining walls (beneficial).
- Experience in irrigation installation.
- Recognise plant material.
- Operate/use all landscape tools & equipment effectively.
- Operate skid-steer & mini-excavators effectively.
- Valid manual driver’s license, own transport & good driving record.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
