About the role
As Head of Technology & Digital Transformation and a key member of BHN's Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in enabling the organisation's future growth, innovation and service excellence. Reporting to the Chief Finance & Corporate Services Officer, you will provide strategic leadership across technology, data, digital transformation and innovation while building the foundations of a modern, secure and high-performing digital environment.
You will play a critical role in transforming BHN's technology landscape. From modernising systems and infrastructure to building contemporary digital capability, you will lead the organisation's journey towards a more connected, data-driven and innovative future.
Success in this role will require a practical and hands-on leadership style, strong commercial and strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complexity with agility. You will be comfortable balancing long-term vision with immediate operational priorities and will thrive in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, influence and relationship-building are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver BHN's technology and digital transformation strategy.
- Modernise and strengthen BHN's technology environment, systems and digital capability.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives that improve service delivery, workforce effectiveness and client outcomes.
- Build organisational capability in data, analytics and business intelligence.
- Strengthen cybersecurity, privacy, governance and technology risk management.
- Drive the responsible adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
- Lead high-performing technology, data and cybersecurity teams.
- Manage technology investments, vendors and strategic partnerships.
- Provide trusted advice to the Executive Team, Board and Committees on technology opportunities, risks and performance.
About you
You are an experienced technology leader who can combine strategic vision with practical delivery. Most importantly, you can translate technology into meaningful business outcomes that improve services, strengthen organisational performance and support better outcomes for the communities we serve.
You'll bring:
- Senior leadership experience across technology, digital transformation, data and innovation functions.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across executive, operational and technical stakeholders.
- Experience developing and implementing technology strategies, roadmaps and transformation programs aligned to organisational objectives.
- Strong capability across data, analytics, business intelligence and information governance.
- Proven experience leading cybersecurity, privacy, risk and governance frameworks.
- Commercial acumen and experience managing technology budgets, vendor relationships and strategic investments.
- A track record of building and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in healthcare, community services, government or other complex service environments will be highly regarded

Location
This role is primarily based at St Kilda, with travel required across other BHN locations as needed.
