About the Role
You will provide high-quality support to an NDIS participant in their home and the community while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Perform manual handling tasks using hoisting equipment in accordance with allied health recommendations.
- Assist with repositioning and pressure care.
- Prepare meals and assist with activities of daily living.
- Provide emotional support and build positive, professional relationships.
- Implement Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) strategies safely and consistently.
- Complete accurate shift notes and report incidents when required.
- Work collaboratively with the participant's support network and the Easy iCare team.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience supporting people with disabilities.
- Experience providing personal care.
- Experience using hoists and other manual handling equipment.
- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
