We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager or Manager to join our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team based in Adelaide. BDO's Risk Advisory Team provides a full range of risk solutions to help our clients navigate a diverse range of challenges, changes, and opportunities. The services the team provide includes:
Key responsibilities:
Leading and delivering a variety of internal audits, business risk assurance and business process improvement projects in accordance with BDO’s methodologies and procedures, including report writing and client communication
Managing engagement teams, including allocating work, reviewing outputs and ensuring delivery to quality and timeline expectations
Providing clear, actionable recommendations to improve policies, processes, systems and controls
Supporting and leading proposal development, scoping and client presentations, contributing to winning new work
Overseeing project planning and scheduling across engagements, ensuring efficient utilisation of team resources
Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members, providing regular feedback and supporting their career progression
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, and working with Partners and Directors to identify and drive new business opportunities
About You
Demonstrated experience in internal audit, risk advisory or a related role, with experience leading engagements
Proven ability to manage and develop team members, including coaching and reviewing work
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently engage with clients and senior stakeholders
Ideally an accounting or business-related degree
Strong working knowledge of internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO31000)
Proven experience delivering internal audits, risk assessments and risk management framework reviews
Experience reviewing financial and operational processes and controls, with a focus on identifying improvement opportunities
