About Us
VV Group Investment Pty Ltd, trading as Friendly Grocer, is a well-established independent supermarket committed to providing quality groceries, fresh produce, and outstanding customer service to the Alexandra Headland community. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy retail store.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
- Supervise, train, and motivate store staff to achieve performance targets.
- Plan staff rosters and allocate duties efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock ordering and replenishment.
- Ensure merchandise is attractively displayed and maintained.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer enquiries and complaints.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, and company policies.
- Control operating costs, minimise stock loss, and prepare operational reports.
- Liaise with suppliers and manage product availability.
Essential Requirements
- At least two years of relevant retail management experience, or a relevant qualification with appropriate experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Sound knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management systems.
