We now seek a full time Industrial Engineer to join our team.
About the role
The duties of the role will include the following:
- Analyse production workflows and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct process mapping, workflow analysis, and time studies.
- Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Improve manufacturing processes for door and panel production.
- Optimise machine utilisation
- Improve factory layouts and material flow to increase efficiency and safety.
- Reduce waste, rework, downtime, and non-value-added activities.
- Reduce product handling and unnecessary warehouse movements.
- Design and improve picking, packing, storage, and dispatch processes.
- Improve inventory flow and material movement throughout the facility.
- Monitor and analyse key manufacturing performance indicators
- Prepare reports and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process innovation.
- Lead productivity improvement and capital equipment projects.
- Participate in equipment selection, commissioning, and implementation.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and evaluate project outcomes
About you
This role requires a minimum of one year of relevant work experience, with a bachelor-level qualification preferred.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
- Support workforce planning, capacity analysis, and effective resource utilisation.
Salary
Will be commensurate with experience and in the range of $78,000 to 82,000 + superannuation
