The First Nations Liaison Officer at Trinity Anglican College plays a vital role in fostering meaningful connections with local Aboriginal communities and strengthening cultural awareness across the College.
Working closely within the AngliSchools network, the role supports reconciliation initiatives and promotes understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives. Guided by the AngliSchools Vision for Reconciliation, this includes encouraging respect, celebrating diversity, and empowering our community to engage thoughtfully with First Nations peoples’ past, present and future.
The role also leads the development of the College’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and supports key events such as NAIDOC Week, National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week, helping to build a more inclusive and culturally aware school community.
