As the Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Centre Director, stepping in as their right-hand support. Your Key Responsibilities:

Act as the 2IC (Second-in-Charge) to support and collaborate with the Centre Director in the day-to-day running of the centre.

Provide mentorship and guidance to educators, promoting professional growth and excellence in teaching practices.

Lead and support room teams as a Team Leader, fostering strong relationships with children, families, and staff.

Float across various rooms to offer leadership, drive consistency, and ensure smooth daily operations.

Engage in non-contact time to focus on centre management tasks, including rostering, team development, and compliance.

Assist with performance management and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Be a go-to resource and support for both the Centre Director and the entire team.
About You:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or working towards).

Proven experience in a leadership role within early childhood education.

Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Passionate about mentoring, guiding, and inspiring educators to achieve their full potential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a supportive and approachable leadership style.

Ability to work collaboratively with the Centre Director to meet goals and ensure the highest standards of care.
