The Role
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to join our Melbourne office on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across the firm’s national footprint and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic and day-to-day operations of a dynamic and forward-thinking firm.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Act as the Office Manager for the Melbourne office, providing hands-on leadership and ensuring local operations run smoothly in alignment with national standards;
Provide strategic oversight and day-to-day management of Office Managers and Coordinators across all firm locations, ensuring alignment with operational goals and service standards;
Work in close collaboration with the Systems & Operations Manager to oversee national office space planning initiatives, including fit-outs, relocations, space reallocations, and workspace optimisation, ensuring alignment with broader operational strategies;
Coordinate and assist with ISO27001 compliance and audit processes, ensuring documentation and operational procedures meet certification requirements;
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce risk, and improve client and staff experience; and
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across practice groups and support functions to ensure operational alignment.
Who We Are Looking For
This is an excellent opportunity for an office manager to take the next step in their career. You will ideally have at least 3 years’ experience as an office manager, preferably within a legal or professional services environment. Multi-site experience will be highly regarded, though not essential.
You will demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills, along with strong organisational and project management capabilities. A proven ability to assess issues, think critically, and develop practical solutions is essential. Proficiency in office systems, facilities coordination, and budgeting is expected, and experience in change management or process improvement will be viewed favourably.
