THE ROLE
Izakaya Hosaku is looking for experienced Chef to join our team!
Since operating in August 2023, Izakaya Hosaku is a hidden gem well known for our vibrant
atmosphere, exceptional service and modern Japanese cuisine. Thanks to our insistence on
food quality and exceptional customer services, our business is having a rapid growth. The
Chef role in this prestigious modern restaurant requires a seasoned professional with
experience in high-end kitchens.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food;
Monitor and ensure quality of preparation and presentation of dishes are in
accordance with the restaurant standards;
Plan menus, estimating food and labour costs;
Prepare foods;
Discuss food preparation issues;
May assist and recruitment and training of staff;
Monitor stock levels, manage inventory and order food supplies;
Ensure proper handling, storage and labelling of ingredients and prepared items;
Ensure efficient management of goods, produce and minimizing wastage; and
Follow and enforce food safety and sanitation regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered as a right candidate, you will need to demonstrate:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years work experience in commis chef/chef
position;
Candidates with experiences in fine dining or reputable employers are highly
regarded;
Possess relevant qualifications in commercial cookery and hospitality management
(highly recommended but not essential);
Be capable of working in a fast-pace kitchen environment;
Be capable of working with a minimum degree of supervision;
Be competent of ensuring the efficiency of kitchen’s operation;
Have strong communication skills who can cooperate with all other employees in the
business;
Have advanced knowledge of occupational health and safety;
Have Excellent personal hygiene skills, great presentation and strong working ethics;
Strong attention to details and pride in your work
