Job Description
We are looking for experienced Vehicle Painters (to ANZSCO 324311 ). You will be restoring the paint work of damaged vehicles back to a professional finish. From fixing up scratches to repainting and matching colours of replaced/repaired body panels.
Your tasks include preparing surfaces (sanding, grinding, filling, priming, etc.) so that paint is ready for application; colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint; touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles; buffing, polishing and waxing surfaces; and painting signs and artwork on vehicles.
You should have experience in using the required materials, hand tools and power tools to complete your work. Attention to detail is essential, ensuring that works are consistently completed to a professional standard and in a timely manner. You will also be expected to maintain your workspace and equipment, keeping it clean and organised in between jobs.
Salary mentioned is exclusive of superannuation and aligned with market rates.
Job Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification (AQF Certificate III or higher, or equivalent overseas qualification), or at least three years of experience in a similar role
