This role is responsible for supervising field delivery activity across an allocated portfolio of telecommunications construction and installation work. The Field Supervisor leads day-to-day field execution through subcontractor crews and field resources, ensuring work is delivered safely, to specification, on time and in accordance with client, quality and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff and sub-contractors
- Undertake scheduling of work, staff and equipment to ensure production targets are met
- Ensure all field work is of a high quality consistent with relevant OH & S policies and procedures
- Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and sub-contractors
- Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client’s network and plant
- Liaise and make arrangements with Public Authorities for provision of services to the network and working in public areas
- Arrange reports to management and the customer on the status of work
To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience:
Relevant technical qualifications- Experience within Telecommunications industry
- Previous experience meeting targets/budgets
- Flexible approach and well-developed contract management skills
- Strong clients focus and ability to negotiate with the client
- Strong attention to detail
This role requires the Field Supervisor to be aligned the Service Stream product quality auditing processes to a base line standard that will stand up to scrutiny by the client. The Field Supervisor will achieve this outcome by using their skills, experience and specialist knowledge to coach and develop others via one on one coaching, development of training material, and courses and the delivery of same. The Field Supervisor will be focused on continual improvement of product quality reporting and outcomes.
Under the direction of the FSM and through analysis of reports and data identify, deliver training to contractors through the best available delivery methods. Measure the success of the training in actual application and improvement and strive to close identified gaps between products services being delivered by the contract work force and the NBN standards and requirements.
The Field Supervisor will use all available resources and tools to ensure only positive messages about Service Steam’s quality improvement strategies are delivered to internal resources, Contract Resources and the Client.
