ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised
Senior Administration Officer – Students to join our Secondary College Student Services team.
Reporting to the
Deputy Head of Secondary (Students), this role provides high-level administrative and operational support across student services, attendance, wellbeing, records management and student engagement initiatives.
This is an ideal opportunity for a professional administrator who enjoys working in a student-focused environment and is committed to providing outstanding service to students, families and staff.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage student attendance records and follow up unexplained absences
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and medical information
- Provide administrative support to the Deputy Head of Secondary (Students)
- Assist with student wellbeing, pastoral care and reporting processes
- Coordinate meetings, schedules, correspondence and documentation
- Support student events, camps, leadership programs and wellbeing initiatives
- Liaise professionally with students, parents, staff and external providers
- Maintain student data within College systems and databases
- Assist with Student Services projects, communications and operational activities
- Provide relief support across administrative functions as required
- This role works a total of 42 weeks per year, 38 weeks during term-time and 4 during non-term-time to be negotiated with your line manager.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Previous administration experience, ideally in a student-facing or service-focused environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Confidence using databases, Microsoft Office and business systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience within a school or educational setting (desirable)
- Familiarity with student information systems or attendance processes (desirable)
- Current Queensland Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
