We are a busy, customer-focused café committed to serving fresh, high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our friendly kitchen team.
About the Role
You will take ownership of the breakfast service, ensuring every dish is prepared to a high standard while maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Manage the breakfast section during busy service periods.
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure the kitchen is service-ready.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow Food Safety Standards and maintain a clean work environment.
- Monitor stock levels, minimise food waste, and assist with ordering.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team.
- Assist with menu development and daily specials where required.
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of café-style breakfast and brunch menus.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.
- Full Australian work rights.
