Function:
Primarily responsible for assisting the Principals and senior accountants with respect to Bove private client’s:
- Accounting;
- Business advisory; and
- Taxation
Duties and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Senior Principal and senior accountants of the firm, the incumbent will be required to assist with respect to:
- Bove’s private client correspondence and phone calls;
- Supporting all staff/team members as directed from time to time;
- The preparation of accounts, Special Purpose Financial Statements (Management, Interim, Draft, and Final), income tax returns and business activity statements for Bove private clients;
- Corporate secretarial matters and the lodgement of relevant forms/documents with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission;
- Bove private client’s bookkeeping and the firms; and
- Other duties as directed from time to time.
The incumbent will be:
- Required to be punctual and ready to start work strictly in accordance with our office hours;
- Expected to show an interest in promoting Bove;
- timely, using a calendar and available software to manage your to-do list and tasks;
- Professional in appearance and hygiene;
- Dependable, have integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude;
- Required to be in keeping with the image of Bove;
- Courteous to all Bove private clients and other persons having contact with the firm;
- Able to demonstrate and possess acceptable written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate issues to the Principals and staff/team members;
- Able to type at least 25 words per minute;
- Willing to work as part of a team and work back if and when required;
- Willing to continue their professional development, education and attend courses as directed/required by the Principals;
- Required to demonstrate ‘attention to detail’ and exceptional record-keeping;
- Required to demonstrate a proficient level of skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current with tax and business developments and trends;
- Required to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Required to act on own initiative and take responsibility for checking their work in advance; and
- Required to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work requirements
