We are seeking an experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead and support our front-of-house team and ensure consistently high standards of customer service and restaurant operations.
Previous restaurant or hospitality supervisory experience is essential for this position. The successful candidate must be confident leading a team during busy service periods, handling customer concerns, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining high operational and service standards.
This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day front-of-house operations during service.
- Lead, support and motivate FOH staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Allocate sections, stations and duties before and during each shift.
- Conduct pre-service briefings and communicate daily priorities, bookings and operational requirements.
- Monitor service standards, table management and overall guest experience.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen and BOH team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, table allocation and customer flow.
- Respond professionally to customer concerns, complaints and special requests.
- Train, coach and provide ongoing guidance to FOH team members.
- Ensure staff follow restaurant procedures, service standards and presentation requirements.
- Monitor staff performance during shifts and address issues promptly.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Manage POS transactions, cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation where required.
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, presentation and readiness throughout service.
- Ensure compliance with responsible service of alcohol (RSA), food safety, workplace health and safety and other applicable requirements.
- Assist restaurant management with stock control, rostering and other operational duties as required.
Essential Experience & Requirements
Experience is a must. Applicants without relevant restaurant or hospitality experience may not be considered.
The successful candidate must have:
- Previous experience in a Front of House Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, Senior Waitstaff or similar hospitality leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience supervising FOH employees in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of restaurant service procedures and customer service standards.
- Experience handling customer complaints and resolving service issues professionally.
- Ability to lead a team effectively during high-volume and high-pressure service periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence using restaurant POS and reservation systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both FOH and BOH teams.
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Valid NSW RSA competency/card where the role involves the service of alcohol.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced restaurant.
- Experience training and developing FOH staff.
- Experience with opening and closing procedures.
- Experience with cash reconciliation and end-of-day procedures.
- Knowledge of restaurant KPIs, labour management and cost control.
- Experience with reservations and table-management systems.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, hands-on and confident leading a restaurant floor. You should be comfortable taking responsibility for a shift, supporting your team and making operational decisions when required.
This is not an entry-level position. Relevant hospitality experience and demonstrated ability to supervise a front-of-house team are essential.
Pay: $60,000.00 – $62,000.00 per year
