Your career path could surprise even you, there's so much variety.
Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
In this role, you'll:
Coordinate and support the planning, management and continuous improvement of asset management practices across the branch. You will play a key role in ensuring assets are effectively managed across their full lifecycle, from planning and acquisition through to maintenance and replacement.
Lead the development and maintenance of asset plans, ensuring they remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with organisational standards. Oversee asset registers and data integrity so information stays current and supports informed decision-making.
Provide regular reporting and insights on asset performance, risks and opportunities, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
Work closely with internal teams, project managers, and external vendors, you will bring together multiple perspectives to identify and recommend the most effective asset solutions. You will also support the development and review of asset-related business cases and contribute to sound financial and operational decision-making.
A key focus of the role is to ensure compliance with legislative, policy and risk management frameworks, helping to deliver safe, reliable and efficient asset outcomes for the business and the community.
This role is based in Parramatta, with a requirement to work in the office every Monday and Tuesday (Monday being the team day).
At Transport for NSW, we are committed to delivering infrastructure and services that keep our communities moving and connected. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team supporting the management of critical road safety enforcement assets across the state.

About you
You bring demonstrated experience in asset management, with a strong understanding of asset lifecycle frameworks, governance, and compliance requirements. You are confident working with asset management systems and data, and can analyse, interpret and present information to inform decision-making.
You are a strong communicator who can translate complex information into clear, practical insights and build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders. You have experience working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities in a complex environment.
You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing risk, cost and operational requirements to recommend sound, evidence-based solutions. Your collaborative approach enables you to bring people together and achieve outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
Success in this role requires strong asset management knowledge across frameworks, lifecycle and compliance, along with the ability to analyse data and develop meaningful reports. Experience working with asset systems and technology, coupled with well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, will be key. An understanding of risk, finance and governance is important, and exposure to enforcement camera assets such as speed and red-light systems, or similar technical environments, will be highly regarded. Ideally, you will bring relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, with an IT or technical background that supports your ability to work effectively in asset or infrastructure environments.
