Centacare North Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation delivering counselling, family support, disability services, youth programs, crisis housing, education and community services across North Queensland.
We are seeking a Coordinator – Communities for Children (C4C) to lead community-driven initiatives in Mount Isa, supporting children aged 0–12 and their families through early intervention, connection, and capacity building.

About the role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:
Lead and support a small team to deliver community-based initiatives
Build strong partnerships with local services, stakeholders and community groups
Coordinate and drive projects aligned to community needs and program goals
Facilitate networks, committees and collaborative forums across the region
Support and guide community partners to deliver impactful outcomes
You’ll play a key role in shaping how services respond to local needs — and see the impact of your work first hand.

Skills and Experiences:
What you’ll bring
Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Human Services or similar
Experience in community development, coordination or program delivery
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
Leadership capability — supporting, guiding and developing others
Ability to work in a culturally responsive way with diverse communities
