About the Role
Ready to make a lasting impact? As Team Leader Information Management, you'll lead the strategy, governance and evolution of Council's information management service, driving excellence in the way information is captured, managed, protected and used across the organisation.

- Lead and elevate Council's Information Management function, driving excellence in governance, records and information management.
- Shape and embed best-practice information management frameworks that maximise the value of Council's information assets.
- Serve as Council's key authority for records management and data sharing governance.
- Drive compliance with legislative, regulatory and industry standards, protecting Council's integrity and accountability.
- Influence strategic decision-making through trusted advice and leadership in information governance.
- Lead the strategic evolution of Information Management, aligning people, process and technology.
- Champion organisational change and continuous improvement to strengthen capability, compliance and performance.
- Partner with leaders across Council to advance privacy, right to information and governance outcomes.
- Drive contemporary information management solutions that deliver business value and operational efficiency.
- Lead, develop and empower a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring and industry-leading practice.
About you
We're looking for an inspiring leader and trusted advisor who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You'll bring deep expertise in information management and governance, a track record of leading high-performing teams, and the ability to drive meaningful organisational change. Confident influencing senior stakeholders, you'll champion innovation, strengthen compliance, and build a culture where information is recognised as a valuable asset that enables smarter decisions and better outcomes for the community.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or substantial experience in Information Management, IT or a related field.
- Proven success leading Information Management, Records Management or Data Governance functions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing teams and organisational capability.
- Expertise in information governance, records management, business analysis and process improvement.
- Sound knowledge of RTI, Information Privacy, Public Records and Local Government legislation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
