Overview
We are looking for a skilled Fortinet Security Gateway Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise network security solutions. The role focuses on securing organizational infrastructure using Fortinet technologies, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats while maintaining high availability and optimal performance of security gateways.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage Fortinet security solutions including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
- Implement and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, VPNs, and security profiles.
- Monitor network traffic and security events to detect and respond to threats.
- Perform security incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Manage IPS, IDS, antivirus, web filtering, application control, and DDoS protection features.
- Conduct firewall performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups.
- Support security audits, compliance requirements, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to implement secure architecture designs.
- Maintain documentation including configurations, SOPs, and network diagrams.
- Participate in incident response and escalation processes as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4–6+ years of experience in network security or firewall administration.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet products in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Experience in firewall rule management and security policy implementation.
- Knowledge of SIEM tools and security monitoring systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 6 (or equivalent)
- CompTIA Security+
- CISSP or CEH (preferred)
- ITIL Foundation (optional)
