Wetherill Park Medical Deputising Service is located within Chemist Works at Stockland Mall Wetherill Park. The practice is an Approved Medical Deputising Service which operates from Monday to Friday 6pm to 11pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 12pm to 11pm and Sunday 9am to 11pm. The practice runs alongside the Wetherill Park Medical Centre. The practice is bulk billing.
Competitive hourly rates commensurate with experience plus incentives for after hours, weekends and public holidays. We are seeking preferably an experienced receptionist to cover at least 2 shifts per week (weeknights, weekends and public holidays) and work within an established roster system.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in medical reception or a similar customer role.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, especially under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with limited on‑site supervision.
- Competence with medical software (e.g., Best Practice, HotDoc).
- Understanding of confidentiality, privacy, and professional boundaries.
- Ability to identify and escalate urgent clinical situations appropriately.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in general practice or after‑hours medical services.
- Knowledge of Medicare billing processes.
- First Aid or CPR certification.
- Familiarity with triage protocols for non‑clinical staff.
- Ability to support basic administrative tasks for clinicians.
