We are looking for an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team. If you enjoy working on quality residential projects and take pride in producing exceptional workmanship, we'd love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities:
- Review building plans and project documentation to identify job requirements, measurements and suitable construction materials.
- Prepare and organise timber, hardware and other materials needed for each project.
- Measure, trim, shape and fabricate timber components using a range of hand and power tools.
- Build and install structural elements including wall frames, roof structures, flooring systems and staircases.
- Fit and secure doors, windows, exterior cladding, fascia boards and other finishing components.
- Install custom-built timber fixtures and architectural features according to project specifications.
- Join and finish timber components using appropriate carpentry techniques to achieve high-quality workmanship.
- Carry out maintenance, restoration and replacement of damaged or worn timber fittings and structures.
- Work with a variety of construction materials, including engineered timber products, composite materials, aluminium and other building products where applicable.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, Australian building standards and workplace safety requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Requirements - capabilities and competencies
- Minimum 3 years' carpentry experience (essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read construction plans and drawings.
- Physically fit with a positive work ethic.
- Current Driver Licence and reliable transport.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
