Job Description
Join the Facilities and Maintenance team at Greenslopes Private Hospital as a Full-Time Maintenance Officer, helping ensure the hospital remains safe, functional and well maintained for patients, visitors and staff.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will undertake a range of general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance activities across the hospital. You will play an important role in maintaining hospital facilities, equipment and infrastructure to a high standard while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

You take pride in your work, have good problem-solving skills and are confident responding to maintenance requests in a busy healthcare environment. You can work effectively both independently and as part of a team and understand the importance of safety, compliance and minimising disruption to patients and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities

Undertake general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across the hospital.

Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.

Inspect and maintain hospital facilities, equipment and infrastructure.

Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and defects.

Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks within your skills, qualifications and scope.

Assist with planned and preventative maintenance programs.
-
Liaise with hospital staff, contractors and service providers as required.

Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance activities and completed work.

Assist with maintaining a safe, clean and functional environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Follow Workplace Health and Safety, infection prevention and other relevant hospital requirements.

Support contractors and external service providers when required.

Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices and processes.

Undertake other duties as directed by the Facilities or Maintenance Manager.
You Will Also Bring

Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or building services role.

Relevant trade qualification or experience in a maintenance-related field is highly regarded.
