Our recently renovated hospital is well equipped with in-house blood machines, digital x-ray, ultrasound, Doppler, advanced anaesthetic monitoring, digital dental radiology and a dedicated dental suite featuring a height-adjustable table, Vettome, IM3 dental x-ray and equipment for advanced dental procedures.
We are a supportive small animal practice with two experienced vets who are passionate about mentoring and clinical development. Our team holds regular case discussions and dedicated research/admin time each week, with individual desk space for vets to focus on case work and learning.
The Role
We are seeking a Veterinarian to join our team on a part-time basis, working 15 hours per week across two days - Mondays or Fridays, plus one other flexible weekday. You will typically work alongside another Veterinarian, supported by a team of four Nurses and a full-time Receptionist, although occasional sole charge shifts may be required.
This role offers exposure to a wide variety of cases, including critical emergencies such as snake bite patients during summer. We also work alongside visiting specialists providing additional learning opportunities for our team. While our caseload is primarily dogs and cats, there is also opportunity for anyone interested in treating poultry and small cage birds.
The ideal candidate will have:

A BVSc (or equivalent) and full eligibility to practice in Australia

3+ years of experience preferred

Strong clinical skills with several years of hands-on experience

A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a strong sense of accountability

Experience or interest in Fear Free patient handling, excellent hygiene practices and animal behaviour

A willingness to work closely with and utilise nurses to their full potential

A genuine passion for developing long-term client relationships

A desire to enjoy veterinary medicine in a supportive environment that promotes wellbeing and work-life balance
