Description:
THE ROLE…
We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Importing Assistant to join our National Support Office team in Adelaide.
Reporting to the Importing Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the coordination and management of international shipments, ensuring accurate and timely information is maintained throughout the import process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining shipment records within our DAX system
- Managing shipping documentation and ensuring information is accurate and up to date
- Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders throughout the shipment process
- Reconciling invoices and applying shipment costs
- Providing estimated landed costings and shipment updates to internal teams
- Updating purchase orders and shipment information as required
- Preparing reports and maintaining data using Excel
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the importing function

You thrive on keeping multiple tasks moving, enjoy working with systems and data, and take pride in ensuring information is up to date and reliable.

- Confidence working with computer systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Experience within importing, logistics, freight, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar operational support role will be highly regarded, however we are equally interested in individuals with the right attitude, aptitude, and willingness to learn.
