The HSEQ & Facilities Officer based in Sydney provides important Health & Safety coordination for Teletrac Navman’s Australian operations and provides facility and office support services for our Australia offices and warehouse. This role will also entail assisting with ISO certification audits & compliance in Australia support global audits as required.
The HSEQ & Facilities Officer is a senior, specialist WHS role responsible for leading Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) outcomes across Teletrac Navman’s Australia and New Zealand operations.
The role requires a highly capable WHS practitioner with the ability to independently manage compliance frameworks, lead ISO audits, and provide expert guidance across the business. This a hands-on specialist position with end-to-end accountability for WHS outcomes.
The position operates on a 70% WHS / 30% workplace operations split, with WHS being the primary focus.
Based in Macquarie Park, this role will also provide remote WHS advice to the New Zealand office, ensuring consistency in standards, compliance, and audit readiness across both regions.
Responsibilities (List all)
· Champion, coordinate, and drive compliance of HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) activities at Teletrac Navman Australia and NZ
· Lead ISO 45001 and other ISO audits required for Teletrac Navman Australia and support global ISO activities as required. This will involve working with external auditors and consultants as necessary.
· Manage documentation related to HSEQ, ensuring that record keeping & reporting requirements are completed
· Lead the coordination of health & safety committee meetings and provide guidance to staff when required around required health & safety procedures
· Be the facilities lead for the Australian head office in Sydney and assist other Teletrac Navman office where needed
· Assist with everyday office duties e.g. ordering supplies, liaising with contractors and building management
· Provide assistance with health & Safety inductions for new employees and coordinate required health & safety trainings for staff e.g. first aiders, fire warden
Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack (List all)
Essential
· Must have certificate IV – Frontline Work, Health & Safety
· Proven experience leading and managing ISO audits (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001)
· Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation (NZ exposure highly regarded)
· 5 years + relevant experience in HSEQ in a corporate work environment
· Strong communication skills
Preferable
· Experience supporting multi-site or cross-regional operations (AU/NZ)
· Exposure to corporate / office-based environments
· Experience balancing WHS responsibilities with workplace operations or facilities
· Experience working with external auditors and consultants
· Familiarity with workplace safety technology, reporting tools or compliance systems
