The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior (Mental Health - Continue Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide a comprehensive and flexible mental health clinical psychology service to infants, children, adolescents and their family/carers
Manage a highly complex caseload with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision and ability to provide independent professional knowledge and expertise
Utilise well developed communication, interpersonal and consultation skills to provide advice to senior management, and to work in partnerships with young people and their family/carers
Participate on relevant committees and contribute to service improvement activities within the service line, division and Hospital and Health Service (HHS)
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
The possession of a tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
AHPRA Registration
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) is a part of the Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS) Division. The CYMHS Continuing Care Team (CCT) is a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty team within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multi-specialty mental health intervention to children and young people (0-18 years). CYMHS CCT is a single team operating over two sites (Robina and Southport) offering ongoing care coordination and therapeutic care for children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems. CYMHS CCT works with children, young Adults, their families and key stakeholders.
