This role plays an important part in ensuring our Trades programs are delivered in accordance with regulatory standards while providing an engaging and supportive learning environment.

About the Role
You will play an important role in ensuring training is delivered in line with requirements, while providing engaging and supportive learning experiences for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver training and conduct competency-based assessments aligned with nationally recognised training packages. The role includes both classroom-based learning and practical trade workshop training, where students develop the hands-on skills required to succeed in their industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality training and assessment aligned with nationally recognised training packages
- Facilitate engaging classroom and workshop based learning sessions
- Conduct fair, valid, and reliable assessments
- Support and mentor learners to achieve their training outcomes
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on assessments
- Maintain accurate student records, assessment documentation and attendance records
- Ensure training and assessment practices and evidence meet regulatory and compliance requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring both industry experience and a genuine passion for helping others learn.
You will have:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122, or equivalent)
- Relevant industry qualifications and practical experience in trades based fields, such as
- - Solid Plastering- Brick and Block Laying- Wall and Floor Tiling- Building and Construction- Carpentry
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- The ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to quality training and compliance standards
