Our Melbourne Flagship Store is a landmark destination for lash and beauty customers, and we are now looking for an experienced and welcoming Salon Receptionist to be the face of our flagship store and manage key front-of-house operations.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Salon Receptionist to manage the front desk and ensure a seamless, premium experience for every client at our Melbourne Flagship Store. This multifaceted role goes beyond traditional reception duties; you will be a primary point of contact for our clients, while also contributing to our staff rostering and driving our digital presence through social media management.
This is a part-time, permanent position based in Melbourne, Victoria. [Approx. X hours per week across X days, including weekend availability — to be confirmed.]
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations: Act as a first point of contact, providing a warm, premium welcome to all clients, managing the daily appointment book, handling phone and email inquiries, and processing payments.
- Roster Coordination: Assist in creating, updating, and managing the weekly staff roster, coordinating with technicians to ensure optimal salon coverage and smooth daily operations.
- Social Media Management: Curate, schedule, and post engaging content across Dr Lash's social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) to grow our online community and showcase our premium services.
- Customer Experience: Maintain premium customer service standards, resolve client inquiries or feedback gracefully, and ensure a flawless client journey from booking to checkout.
- Retail & Inventory Support: Assist with retail product merchandising, process retail sales, and monitor front-desk stock replenishment.
- Brand Standards: Maintain a clean, inviting, and highly organized reception and waiting area that reflects Dr Lash's luxury brand image at all times.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a reception, front-of-house, or administrative role, preferably within the beauty, salon, or premium retail industry.
- Availability to work a consistent part-time schedule, including weekends as required.
- Experience supporting staff rosters and scheduling in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage social media accounts for a business, with a good eye for content creation and digital engagement.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in salon booking software, POS systems, and major social media platforms.
- A genuine passion for the beauty/eyelash industry and a customer-first mindset.
