Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Cognitive Unit, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to older patients with complex cognitive and geriatric needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support patients experiencing dementia, delirium, frailty, falls and functional decline while contributing to positive clinical outcomes and a supportive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive, person-centred nursing care to patients with complex cognitive and geriatric needs.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using clinical judgement and evidence-based practice.
Work collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health teams to coordinate patient care.
Contribute to quality improvement, education, mentoring and ongoing professional development.
About you:
You are a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse with a genuine interest in caring for older people and supporting patients with dementia and other complex cognitive needs. You will bring sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a commitment to collaborative, person-centred care.
Skills & Experience
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the NMBA.
Demonstrated nursing knowledge, skills and clinical experience.
An interest in dementia, geriatric and complex cognitive patient care.
Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
