About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and practical mining professional to join our growing gold mining operation located near Gladstone, Queensland.
This opportunity is suited to candidates capable of acting as:
- Site Senior Executive (SSE)
- Mine Manager
- or a combined SSE / Mine Manager role
Depending on candidate experience, qualifications, and operational requirements, the roles may be performed by one person or split across two appointments.

Key Responsibilities
Site Senior Executive (SSE)
- Fulfil statutory obligations under Queensland mining legislation
- Lead site safety, health, and compliance systems
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)
- Liaise with regulators, contractors, and technical consultants
- Drive safe operational culture across the site
Mine Manager
- Oversee day-to-day mining operations
- Coordinate mining contractors and operational activities
- Manage production planning and operational performance
- Support mine development and operational optimisation
- Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and reporting

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in open pit mining operations
- Queensland SSE qualifications and/or eligibility preferred
- Strong understanding of Queensland mining safety legislation
- Experience managing contractors and small mining teams
- Practical leadership approach with strong communication skills
- Gold mining experience highly regarded
- Ability to work in a developing and fast-moving operation
