As the Senior Program Advisor, you will assist the Planning and Program Team in the day-to-day operations and management of the Transport System Planning Program (TSPP) and other assigned programs, providing high-level program management, analytical and stakeholder engagement support to enable informed investment and program delivery decisions.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Support and coordinate program formulation activities, including annual program development, program variations and project nomination processes, facilitating progression through to approval.
Analyse and interpret complex program, financial and performance information, monitor program performance, and provide advice and recommendations on expenditure, forecasting, risks, trends, investment priorities and informed decision-making.
Support the management of Australian and Queensland Government funded programs and projects, including reporting, compliance obligations, and the preparation of high-quality reports, briefing materials and recommendations for senior management.

Requirements of the role
High-level knowledge and experience in program, portfolio or project management within a complex government or infrastructure environment, including demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically assess complex information and provide evidence-based recommendations to support investment and program management decisions.
Sound understanding of governance, risk management and investment management principles, and their application within a program or portfolio management environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, build productive partnerships and work collaboratively across a diverse stakeholder environment.
