About your role
The Finance Officer supports ESSA’s day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payroll and month-end activities. This hands-on role suits someone who is organised, accurate and focused on efficient ways of working.
You will:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records
- Support month-end, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Assist with BAS, audits and finance compliance
- Improve and automate finance processes where possible
Your competitive edge will include:
- Experience in finance administration
- Strong accounts payable, receivable and reconciliation skills
- Experience with accounting software, ideally Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- A relevant bookkeeping, accounting or finance qualification
- Experience with Employment Hero (desirable)
