Our Opportunity
As a strategic and valued business partner to our leaders and teams across head office and retail, our Group People & Culture Business Partner will drive people strategies that enable commercial performance, build organisational capability and provide expert workplace relations guidance across our Group.
With a strong focus on retail operations, you will play a critical role in managing workplace risk across our multi-site environment, lead complex workplace relations matters and ensure compliance with workplace legislation, modern awards and industrial instruments.
You will have the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities within the fast paced retail environment, as well as provide strong coaching and leadership development across our teams and various business functions.
As a commercially minded and values driven business partner, your hands-on and collaborative approach will make an immediate impact and build strong trusted relationships.
This is a 12 month Contract position based in our Cremorne head office.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Managers to provide proactive, commercially focused people coaching and advice
Coach leaders to build capability in managing performance, conduct and team effectiveness
Lead and manage complex workplace relations matters end to end including investigations, performance counselling processes and terminations
Provide expert advice on the interpretation and application of modern awards and Fair Work legislation
Support our leaders in managing workplace relations matters
Partner with leaders to drive initiatives that strengthen culture, inclusion and team effectiveness
Support organisational change across our Group
Contribute to the development of People & Culture initiatives that strengthen engagement and culture
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a HR Partner, Business Partner or Senior HR Advisory role
Demonstrated experience in managing complex employee matters end-to-end
Relevant HR Tertiary qualifications or related discipline
Strong knowledge and understanding of Australian employment law, Fair Work legislation, modern awards ad experience in interpreting and applying awards
Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed workforces
Strong relation shipbuilding and partnering capability
Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
Advanced MS Office skills
