Primary objective
You will support the delivery of governance, policy and regulatory reform projects through project coordination, communications,
reporting and policy implementation activities to support the establishment of a new statutory board.
Context statement
The External Review and Reform unit leads priority education system reforms to strengthen outcomes for Territory students
and their families.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain project documentation required for reporting, record-keeping and monitoring activities aligned
to enterprise project governance requirements.
2. Support research and analysis for evidence-based policy outputs and day-to-day project delivery.
3. Develop clear and accessible content for a range of platforms, including website materials and stakeholder
communications.
4. Prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, meeting papers, agendas and minutes, and coordinate departmental
approval processes to support timely decision-making and implementation activities.
5. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships to support policy and project coordination.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in a project delivery environment, including coordinating project reporting, approvals, and
preparing project documentation.
2. Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical and audience-appropriate communications and
documentation.
3. Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to work independently, manage priorities,
exercise initiative while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
4. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret and communicate complex
information accurately in audience-appropriate formats, including website content, reports, briefing materials,
correspondence and communication products.
5. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain productive working relationships, collaborate
effectively and contribute positively within a team environment.
Desirable
1. Qualifications in public administration, communications, business, project management or a related discipline.
2. Knowledge of governance, approval and record management processes, or experience supporting boards, statutory
bodies or regulatory functions.
