We are seeking a temporary AO4 HR Officer to join the HR Operations team while a team member undertakes a secondment. This is a 9 month opportunity in the first instance, with the potential to extend depending on operational requirements.
About the team
The HR Operations team delivers core HR services across the employee lifecycle. This includes recruitment and selection support, management of the shared HR inbox, advice on leave and pay entitlements, higher duties and conversions, onboarding, and general HR enquiries.
Key responsibilities
Provide accurate and timely responses to a high volume of HR enquiries via the shared inbox.
Support recruitment and selection processes, including coordination of advertisements, expressions of interest, appointments, and related checks Provide advice on leave entitlements, higher duties, conversions, and other employment conditions.
Assist with onboarding and general employee lifecycle processes Research and interpret HR policies, directives, awards and industrial instruments to deliver consistent advice.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the department to support effective service delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and service standards.
About you
You will have a solid understanding of HR policies, procedures and industrial interpretation, with the ability to research and apply this knowledge to practical situations. Strong computer skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment are essential.
You will demonstrate effective stakeholder management, clear communication (both written and verbal), and the ability to work collaboratively within a small, busy HR team. A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach is highly valued.
