Taking steps forward in your career whilst still having room for fun, friendships, and flexibility in your daily life.
We’re driven by our core values: lead with heart, learn for tomorrow and live our legacy. A purpose like ours takes the inspired impact of an incredible team. Ready to change the game? We’re ready to help you do it.
The Purpose:
Great internal communicators create clarity, build connection and help people feel confident about what comes next. Working in a 6 month max term contract role, (with the potential of an additional six month extension), as our Communications Manager - Internal, you’ll lead communications and employee engagement for significant change initiatives across AP+, turning complex change into clear, creative and human stories that people can understand, connect with and act on.
Key Responsibilities the Role Owns:
-
This role will be responsible for delivering communications to support two key change initiatives for AP+ - a migration from Slack to Teams and an Office move.
- The successful candidate will own the internal communications and engagement plans for these significant AP+ change initiatives, shaping the narrative from early awareness through to adoption.
-
Turn complex change into simple, compelling stories, creating clear messaging about what is changing, why it matters, when it is happening and what employees need to do.
-
Create engaging content and campaigns across intranet, Teams, email, All Hands, events, workplace screens, video and other employee channels.
-
Partner with project teams, Technology, People & Culture, leaders and internal Design Studio to deliver a joined-up employee experience.
-
Equip leaders and people managers with practical communications, talking points and guidance so they can confidently bring their teams through change.
- Listen to employee questions and feedback, measure reach, engagement and adoption, and continually adapt communications to make them more effective.
-
Manage an external agency who will support on the set up of the Teams migration and support on the development of training manuals and training for staff.
You’ll likely be a strong fit for this role if:
-
You’re an experienced internal communications, employee engagement or change communications professional, with 6+ years’ experience and exposure to large-scale organisational change.
-
You're familiar with Teams Viva Engage.
- You know how to take something complex, technical or ambiguous and turn it into communications that feel simple, relevant and human.
-
You’re a strong storyteller and content creator who can move comfortably between campaign narratives, executive messaging, as well as briefing Design Studio and external agency to develop digital content, video and practical employee guidance.
-
You understand how internal channels work together - including Microsoft Teams and intranets - and know how to use the right channel for the right audience and moment.
-
You’re confident partnering with senior leaders, project teams and subject matter experts, constructively challenging where needed to get to the clearest message.
-
You care about impact, not just output - using employee feedback, readership, engagement and adoption data to understand what is landing and what needs to change.
