About the Role:
We seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Painting Trades Worker (Painter) to join our growing construction team. Working across bespoke residential renovations, extensions, and new home projects, you will play a key role in delivering premium finishes that align with our commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and design excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, patching, filling cracks and holes, and applying primers and sealers.
· Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, sealants, and protective coatings to internal and external surfaces.
· Measure, calculate, and estimate material requirements and quantities.
· Select, prepare, and mix paints and finishes to achieve required colours and textures.
· Apply decorative and protective finishes, including wallpapering where required.
· Operate, clean, and maintain painting tools, equipment, and spray-painting systems.
· Protect surrounding areas and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
· Liaise with site supervisors, builders, architects, and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.
· Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.
About You:
· Relevant trade qualification in Painting and Decorating or equivalent industry experience.
· Minimum 2 years of relevant painting experience.
· Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, and finishing techniques.
· Experience working on residential construction or renovation projects.
· Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
· High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
· Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
