About the Opportunity
CCLHD is committed to strengthening and continuously improving access to culturally sensitive and safe violence abuse and neglect (VAN) services on Darkinung Country.
Our Aboriginal identified roles are senior clinical positions, that support the service to have strong community connections and leadership. These roles will be provided with clinical and cultural support and work in a culturally centred trauma informed approach across the program areas that value cultural wisdom and knowledge. The roles will hold adjusted clinical loads to ensure time is invested in strong community connections, provide genuine cultural consultation and ensure the cultural integrity of the care we provide for Aboriginal clients is strong.
The Aboriginal Clinical Lead - Safe Wayz & Sexual Assault position is a key leadership role and is integrated into the District's Sexual Harm and Safety Service. The role is responsible to coordinate an integrated response for children under the age of 10 years old with problematic or harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB).
This role is suitable for the following:
- Counsellor Level 3.
- Counsellor Level 4.
- Psychologist.
- Social Worker Level 3.
- Social Worker Level 4.

About You
You will:
- Be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identify as being Aboriginal and accepted in the community.
- Bring your experience, in addition to completion of a Bachelor Degree in a health-related field or completed ECAV qualification pathway - Graduate Certificate in Human and Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma).
- Bring your community engagement experience and skills and understanding of culture of one or more Aboriginal communities.
- Have a sound knowledge base of working with children and families who may have experience of trauma, violence, and abuse.
- Bring your energy and passion and be supported to grow and build your career through training, development and networks within supportive and high functioning teams.
