About the role
Provide logistics and inventory support to ensure Vocus meets service delivery, maintenance, and operational requirements for its telecommunications networks.
The role is based 5 days / week in our warehouse, at Hoppers Crossing, Victoria
What you’ll be doing day to day
Logistics & Operations
- Manage stock levels and order inventory as required.
- Process, pick, pack, and dispatch customer and project orders.
- Track freight movements from dispatch through to delivery.
- Prioritise equipment distribution based on project deadlines.
- Source equipment from suppliers and manage procurement activities.
- Raise and manage purchase orders and goods receipts.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform daily adjustments.
- Conduct weekly stock counts and support quarterly national audits.
- Manage serial number records and equipment registration.
- Control SKU lifecycle management and provisioning data.
- Ensure inventory reconciliation between Vocus and external warehouse providers.
Reporting & Analysis
- Produce inventory, purchasing, project, and maintenance reports.
- Monitor stock trends, slow-moving inventory, discrepancies, and obsolete stock.
- Generate audit reports and recommend process improvements.
- Analyse inventory and financial data to support business decisions.
Transactional & Financial Management
- Process inventory transactions, transfers, returns, and receipts.
- Perform invoice reconciliation.
- Maintain compliance with inventory policies and procedures.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Customer Service, Activations, Products, Devices, Finance, couriers, suppliers, and warehouse partners.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
What you’ll bring to this role
- You are an Australian citizen or a Permanent Resident in Australia.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in telecommunications, utilities, logistics, or civil construction preferred.
- Forklift licence and experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory and purchasing systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
